Tile Making for the 150th Jubilee

This is a photo of the tile that I drew. This photo is made for the jubilee. It is based on one of the leadlight windows of the Hastings Opera House.

Most of the kids in the school have drawn their drafts for the tiles and then we paint them onto the real tile.
They will look really cool out by the Uniform Shop and hall.

Yusef's Fossil

This is a shell fossil that I found on the beach in Hawke's Bay. My family and I were really excited for me to show the shell - and I did.
It takes thousands of years for it to become part of the rock. We also found at least
five more fossils, but my Dad said that it is best to leave some behind and take the best one home with me.
Room 7 had a look and they were amazed!  Mrs Wong was also amazed. Thank you for reading about my special find. I hope you are  amazed as well.

HNI ICT Tutors

Very special thanks to this amazing group of HNI students who came to our room on the last Thursday of school.

They worked alongside us as they showed us the delights of using evideo. Some great video work was accomplished. We look forward to being able to practise the skills this term.

It was great to become reacquainted with some of the ex-pupils of HNP and Mrs Wong.  :-)

Thanks especially to Valerie Leijen - Angela's sister who arranged it all for us.

Kapahaka Group Presentation

At the last assembly for Term 3,
the two kapahaka groups
gave presentations to the school
(and all of the parents - thanks for coming  :-)  )

The Juniors were very cute AND knew all of their actions - even simple poi.
However, we gave a stirring performance and made each of us feel rather special and proud.

Tino pai to each of the performers, especially our
fierce kaia: Max and Cooper
strong whaia: Peti-i-te-Rangi and Isabelle.

We now look forward to presenting our waiata and haka to the Jubilee audience.

Special thanks to Ms Sarah Reo for teaching us.

We are sailing......

We learned the basics on land first.....

THEN... we went sailing and/or rowing and/or bailing....

A fantastic day was enjoyed by us all: students, parents and teachers. What a way to start our holiday!!!

Thanks to the parents who helped and Ms McNeill.
